Investing in tomorrow's leaders
Education
ducation is a key building block to development. The greatest struggle for many youth is access to education. Aleph Surf helps students with life skills education, connections to good schools, access to tutors and support through financial scholarships.
Free surfing lessons are incentives we use to get kids to stay in school. Aleph Students has to belong to an educational or vocational training institution to access our recreational activities.
We give direct financial assistance for:
-
School Fees
-
University / Tertiary Scholarship

NANCY MWEDZI
My name is Nancy Mwedzi. I’ve been a part of the Aleph family since 2012.
I met Reds and Vanessa Van Zyl when I had just started high school as a young teenager who was eager to learn how to surf. Unfortunately the surfing didn’t work out so well in the long run, however, it paved a way for a meaningful relationship to be birthed between the Aleph family especially the Van Zyls and my family, the Mwedzi’s.
The Aleph family has played quite a significant role in my life. The organization’s involvement in my life extends beyond the financial assistance that they’ve provided me with, especially with regards to the funding that they provided for my tuition towards my University degree. Because of their financial aid, I was able become the first person in my family to graduate from University with a degree. I believe that obtaining this qualification is a step in the right direction towards a better future for my family and I, and for that I am forever grateful. Not only that, but my relationship with the Aleph family transcends into a deeper friendship and mentorship.

Vanessa and Reds have really been such great cheerleaders in my life. It has been comforting to know that someone always has my back when it comes to praying for my family and I. Furthermore, I’ve had countless coffee dates with Vanessa where she basically spoke the Word over my life, gave me advice and reminded me about my identity in Christ and my significance in the world.
As I look back at the past couple of years, I am once again amazed at how Jesus makes all things work together for our good and how he places different people in our lives for specific reason and seasons.
