UGANDA WATER FILTERS

Aleph Surf International recently conducted a water filter demonstration and training program for women from northern Uganda, and we also donated 19 complete water systems to women who will serve as custodians in their communities. The demonstration wasn’t just about showing how a filter works—it was about empowering local women with the knowledge and responsibility to ensure clean, safe water is available in their homes. With these systems in place, families can rely on a practical solution that makes a real difference day after day.

 

Clean water remains a major challenge in northern Uganda, and its impact goes far beyond convenience. When families lack reliable access to safe drinking water, it affects health, daily routines, and the ability to focus on work, school, and family life.

 

We’re especially grateful that these filters are led by women—the household leaders who manage daily well-being and ensure families are cared for. Each custodian represents more than a single home; she’s caring for many families and helping strengthen community resilience for the long term. By training and equipping women in Northern Uganda with these filters, Aleph is helping reduce the barriers that keep communities stuck in cycles of illness and hardship.
